I'm a complete beginner — is personal training right for me?

Absolutely. Most of my clients start with little or no gym experience. Every session is built around your level, and I'll walk you through technique step by step so the gym stops feeling intimidating.

How often should I train each week?

For most people, 3–4 quality sessions per week delivers the best results without burning out. Beginners can see strong progress on just 2 sessions a week when programming and nutrition are dialled in.

How quickly will I see results?

Most clients notice strength, energy and mood changes within 2–3 weeks. Visible body composition changes typically show from week 4–6 when training and nutrition stay consistent.

Do I need to follow a strict diet?

No. I build flexible nutrition guidance around your lifestyle, preferences and goals — not restrictive meal plans. Sustainable habits beat short-term fad diets every time.

Can I lose fat and build muscle at the same time?

Yes, especially as a beginner, returning lifter, or anyone with body fat to lose. It's called recomposition and it's exactly what most of my programmes target.

Will lifting weights make me bulky?

No. Building noticeable muscle takes years of focused training and a calorie surplus. Strength training tones, shapes and strengthens — it's the fastest route to a lean, athletic physique.

I have an old injury or back pain — can you still train me?

Yes. I assess every client and program around existing injuries or limitations. Many clients actually find their pain reduces as they build strength, mobility and better movement patterns.

What's the difference between in-person and online coaching?

In-person sessions give you hands-on coaching, accountability and real-time form correction. Online coaching gives flexibility — personalised programmes via the training app, video form reviews and direct messaging support.

What should I bring to my first session?

Comfortable training clothes, trainers, a water bottle and a small towel. That's it — I'll handle the rest, from warm-up to programming to cool-down.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?

Just give me 24 hours' notice and we'll move it with no charge. Late cancellations may count as a used session out of fairness to other clients.
